Kratos was interfering with Freya's choice to let her son kill her and "protected" her regardless of her wishes and her not needing to be protected.Įven until the end, you can see she still felt justified in what she did, and unremorseful (she never openly/directly apologizes for interfering in Baldur's life both in the past or in the present with the giant interrupting his fight with Kratos) so it's very ironic and hypocritical for her to be so furious at Kratos for doing essentially the same thing she's been doing to her own son. It's honestly incredibly ironic because what Kratos did to Freya is essentially the same thing Freya did to Baldur (and what Kratos was initially doing to Atreus too).
